Time:2026-05-12

On the morning of May 11, a delegation led by Vice President Norman of City University of Malaysia visited Leshan Vocational and Technical College (LVTC). The visit, grounded in a previously signed MOU between the two institutions, aimed to advance the application for a Sino-foreign cooperative education program and deepen international exchanges. Vice President Zhou Qin of LVTC, along with representatives from the School of Nursing and Wellness and the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, accompanied the delegation.

During the tour guided by Zhou Qin, the delegation visited the Life Sciences Museum, Training Building No.1, Training Workshop No.4, JD Industry College, and the Dental Training Center. Vice President Norman spoke highly of LVTC's training facilities, integrated theory-practice teaching environment, and industry-education achievements.

At the symposium, Zhou Qin extended a warm welcome, noting that since the MOU signing, both sides have maintained good communication. She expressed LVTC’s readiness to begin with the cooperative education program application and steadily deepen the partnership.

Norman thanked LVTC for its hospitality, reviewed the positive interactions since the MOU, and praised LVTC’s distinctive strengths in technical and vocational talent training, which align well with City University in several fields. He looked forward to translating the MOU’s intentions into concrete projects soon.

This visit marked a key step in implementing the MOU, laying a solid foundation for deeper collaboration and signaling new progress for LVTC in serving the Belt and Road Education Action and expanding partnerships with Southeast Asian universities. Both sides will maintain close communication to accelerate project implementation and jointly write a new chapter in international educational cooperation.
